Unrequited

Unrequited

“Unrequited”

It’s occurring in my head right this instance,
That memory of substance,
The reason I write for myself,
And bleed.
It is pushing the brain cells outward,
Unkind visions and insecurity,
Plagues that haunt me.
Punishers,
Laughing at my face,
The folly of betraying,
Sadly portraying.
A funny boy inside a man, waiting,
For you.
For the time to be alive,
To be something real,
Or ignited.
It’s happening in my heart right this instance,
That memory of substance,
The reason I re-write myself,
And need.
To not feel left behind because…
Exquisite revisions and abhorring.
Days that taunt me.
Punishment,
The tantamount betrayal,
Sad and portrayed.
A funny man inside the boy, waited,
Once in love with you.
